3rd Year - 1st Sem Holiday

My holiday this time, seem like have no big surprise, but, it is meaningful to me!

I went to Genting with friends. What best there is - we went there one day earlier than 3 other friends who depart from Penang. Then, having panda eyes just because no sufficient of sleeping time. What we do there? Saw people gambling around, then didn't want to be leave over, so I join them lo!

After 2 boring days in Genting, finally, we went to KL. (Frankly, I am not really like to be in Genting, boring is the only word I can describe about Genting) What make me happy is, I have the chance to be with friends there. Everything go nice with them!

In Kl, we have big meal in a Kari Noodle Restaurant near to LC's sister house. Well, almost all the friends praise for the deliciousness of the Kari noodle here.

Then, we have great time to listen to LC's sister sharing. We then went for shopping in Times Square, Sg Wang, Lot 10 and Pavilion.

On the next day, my brothers came to KL,as oldest brother I did bring them visit around KL. For me, this trip with my brothers did bring our relationship more closer!

I like the moments with friends and brothers here. Such a nice holiday!

Padan Muka - 活该

I was extremely busy in last few weeks.
What I busy with?
(A good question to be asked!)
(Thank you for asking this question, as you shown your concern toward me, Thank... Haha, tak tau malu punya budak!)

Recently, I have no chance to take proper rest.
Until I fall sick last 3 week ago, sore throat, fever, cough...
And until now, the cough still not unwilling to leave me!
I am still coughing from 3 weeks ago.
And what made me afraid was, I might get TIBI...

(P/S: Thank you for my friends who care for me so much. Especially, Lee Ching who made me at least 4 'ai-xin" honey juice and Phei Ling who brought me to see Chinese doctor for several times.)

My weight lost around 3-4 kg from my standard weight of 47-48 kg.
So, I am now in around 44 kg.
Walau, what kind of weight is this?
It is not suppose to happen to a guy right?
I always "feel proud" to say: "I am having the weight that girls looking for, but, guys afraid for!!!" to my friends who are girl.

Ya, go back to the origin topic, WHAT I WERE BUSY WITH?

Firstly, it is all because of the activities that I am joining now.

For instance,

1) I am the treasurer of Mandarin class, so I have to duty for mandarin class and attend its’ meetings.

2) I am the committee member of Photography club, so, I “have to” join the meetings and classes. Anyway, I likes to join their activities, as I like to take photos.

3) I too start to be a tuition teacher now. I teach tuition in Wednesday night and Saturday evening.

Do I need money now? Mata duitan kah?

Not exactly!

I think it is a good chance for me to deal with student.

He is about 8 in ages and very cute too!

4) Joining TzuQing activities and help whatever I could help. (But, most of the time, I were too busy, thus, I have to refuse to join some activities)

5) Volunteer to teach tuition in orphanage house.

Basically, I did promise to teach them every two week. But, due to some reason, mostly because of extremely busy and tire, sometimes I didn’t go for the tuition.

(One of my friend, Ivan Yam said that I am a “fast cool” person, where I only join activities when I am “hot” (have interest) and quit when I get “cool”. He might be right, but, not a total! I have to claim that, I have to quit due to my limit of energy, time and ability. I am unable to join every activity, but, when I am joining, I will do and give my best!)

6) Work as part timer during last PC fair.

I did learn and gain a lot of experience, especially dealing with customers.

The experience that I had never go through before! – Non stop talking and promoting until I lost my voice… (Phei Ling said : “活该” (padan muka)!, what kind of friend, she is?)

7) Overloaded assignments…

I) PGA102 presentation, (and have to do the paper work after this)

II) PPG210E – General Science Teaching Method – simulation teaching and assignment.

III) Physics Final Year Project

(It may sound weird, as I have two more years to go before I can get graduate, but why I have to do final year project?)

(A good question! Answer: Those who are taking Physics as their major in Science Education have to do the final project together with 3rd year Physics students, as 3rd year is their final year)

So, when do you think I can get proper rest?

No right?

Most of the night, I will not stay in the room due to meetings and activities.

So…. Lastly, the best words for me are “PADAN MUKA”…

(The picture attached above is not related to the topic of my blog, but it is truely reflcting the place I wish to go now, for a better rest....)

The Escape To the End of World - the Paradise

The Escape To the End of World - the Paradise

It sound fantastic when someone begin my blog
with this title, isn't it?
CL: Ya, it is pretty cool.

Where is the place you went to?
CL: Some where in the East of Malaysia. Anyway, I will keep it as secret, why? It is simply because, I am too stingy to share. Ya I think so. (But, for those who are lucky enough, knew where I went to)

(P/S : Want to know where I went to? Check out the pictures, if you are "sensitive" enough, you will know where it is)

Why you are so stingy?
CL: Recently, it is always come to my mind that all the nice places will be destroyed when it get know by people, Malaysian especially. For the typical example, the marine park of Redang Island is now full with the "carcases" of corals. I fell extremely sad, and asking myself, why people have no the consciousness of protecting and conserving the nature? Are we too selfish? Ya, for example, where I had the chance to visit a market in the state, there are some stalls that selling the eggs of turtles. Don't you wonder why there are still having dealers selling the eggs, indeed of laws that protecting turtles. (It is prohibited to sell turtle/s and it's egg/s!) Here is the proof ....... :-(

Who you went with, CL - the stingy guy that is loving the environment so much???
CL: My friends - Guan Kun and Phei Ling

How much it cost you?
CL: RM350- 400 for the whole trip. (The Secret Island + Kuala Terengganu)

What is the special things in the secret island?
CL:There is nothing special besides the nice and unpolluted beaches. (From my naked eyes, there is no pollution. Er, maybe I have to make sure it by testing the sea water in chemistry lab, haha)

(P/S: My friend, PL was having "culture shock" when she was first day in the island. She can't manage herself with the easy and relax lifestyle once we reached the island in the first day. She is a busy person, where her schedule always packed until she have only some rest time in the night. Pity at her.)

What you all have done on the island?
CL: We just done what people done when they are on the island. Like resting (RM 0), swimming (RM 0) , lie on the beach (RM 0), reading (RM 0), watching tv (RM 0 - HBO, StarMovie, Cinemax, Pirates of the Carribean 3 - provided by the owner of the resort) , jungle trekking (RM 0) and snorkeling (RM 15 - equipments of snorkeling).

What is the best things on the island?
CL: 1) Life here is very relaxing and considered as isolated. So it is a nice place for those who wish to have an escape from her/his boring and repeatedly daily life).
2) You just need to pay RM50/room/night.
3) The people here are so nice and friendly. They are so helpful and hospitality!
(The Picture besides showing Abang Za, a nice guy who chat a lot with us and offer himself to guide us to the snorkeling spot, his long hair and warmest smile will always kept in my mind)

What is the poor things on the island?
CL: 1) No electricity supply from 7am-7pm. (Only one resort on the island operate with 24hours electricity supply) (For me, it is a good idea, I am okay with this, as this is a good way to conserve the environment - reduce the usage of electricity. How about you? Can you get use to it?)
2) Mosquitoes (The big enemies in the island! They will attack you in the morning and evening, even you have apply the mosquito repellent)
3) The food and beverages are very expensive here! (RM 4 for a glass of Milo Ice, RM 6 for a simple fried noodle) (But it may be understandable, as the resorts need to import all the stuffs from land)

So, what are waiting for? Looking for an escape? Just free yourself and travel to an island in Malaysia! (Since this year in Visit Malaysia Year!)

Happy Dumpling Day – The Process of Making Dumplings

Haha… For those who like to cook, it is a nice topic, isn’t it?

But for those know only how to eat and know nothing about making dumplings, better you learn now! If not, you will have to spend your money to pay for a dumpling after all! I know, it is an unhealthy scene, where a lot of teenagers, even those who are older, do not know how to prepare this nice-eaten traditional food. I am so sad over this.

Anyway, I am so proud of myself, at least I know a little bit about the preparation of dumpling. But, this article is just a sharing and not a swank!

I woke up as early as 11.30am (should be as late as 11.30am to be correct) in the morning to help my mum to make dumplings!

My mum prepared all the ingredients required, like:

1) Sticky rice (nasi pulut, 糯米),

2) Mushrooms (蘑菇),

3) small dry prawns (蝦米),

4) Dry oysters (蠔干)

5) La Ci (It’s a Hokkien word, and I know the correct word in neither in Mandarin nor English),

6) pork (you may have chicken, just depend on your taste, and, for my Muslim’ friends who read my blog, I am sorry to mention this word here)

And the most important things, that should not be left out – Dumpling’s leaves and the strand made of a part of banana. Both of them needed to be boiled for couples of hour, so that it will be soft and easy to be used for making dumplings later. And some flavorings (rempah ratus).

So, here I attached some pictures to show you the steps of making a dumpling. It’s as easy as eating a dumpling. Prepared? Here we go…
